Playing Hard To Get...

A had a fun photo shoot with a Carolina Wren...
He knew I was at the window, that I wanted a picture, and preferred to play hard to get!
What I love about these pictures is how much feather detail they show.
All the "fluffiness"...

all the different shades of brown, that there is even a little gray in there...

and look at those pretty stripes in his tail.

What a wonder...what a thrill to be able to interact with the birds in this way!!
Lucky me!!

the C wren isn't much to look at, but they have a pair of lungs on 'em. Love to listen to them sing. And boy can they sing.

And what a little 'cutie pie'... I just love wrens!

Love their song, their littleness, their perkiness, etc. Just love 'em!

Yes, you certainly have a wonderful photo taking setup!

Maybe he was camera shy. He did have some fluffy looking feathers.

The beak is so interesting.

He's lovely! Such great closeups!

LOL! I've always liked how their down-turned beak makes them look grumpy. Probably a male which would explain the lack of cooperation. ;-)
